FAQs
The answers to your questions
Your prices are cheap, what's the catch?
We prefer the term "affordable" and there is no catch. We believe in open and transparent pricing and one of our main goals is to use technology to our advantage, keeping overhead low and making our pricing accessible for all families, regardless of income level.

Also, truth be told, we are horrible salesmen and would rather not have to deal with in-person sales pitches, where we try to nickel and dime you into buying everything a la carte.
I woke up with a huge pimple on my forehead, is this a problem?
No problem at all...

We are all beautiful in our own skin, but blemishes happen and we think they shouldn't ruin an otherwise wonderful photo. We follow the "7 Day Rule", meaning that any skin blemish that would naturally go away in ~7 days is edited out of all final delivered photos.
What kind of prints do you offer?
We offer prints in all common, and not-so-common sizing.

Our partnered labs have over 100 years of photo printing experience and use professional grade, archive quality materials to ensure your images will last a lifetime. We also periodically color-calibrate all of our systems to ensure that what you see in your proof gallery is exactly what you get back from the printer.
If I don't buy prints from you, can I print my own?
Absolutely!

However, we want to say that our print costs are near wholesale prices for true, color-corrected, archive quality prints. While we won't stop you from making your own prints, we price our prints so that it encourages you to get prints, while taking advantage of our 100% satisfaction guarantee.
What if we need more than an hour of shooting or I want to go to multiple locations, is that an option?
Absolutely - we actually encourage you to shoot over multiple days if you have more than 2-3 outfits. This way you're getting a new surrounding with your new outfit and don't have to worry about bringing a full wardrobe of clothes with you.
I checked out the gallery and we want all the photos. Are we able to get them?
Yes of course! Our Senior Package includes 15 digital downloads but we offer additional downloads for $20/image. All additional images are included in the photo release as well.
What clothes should I wear to my shoot?
Bring at least two outfits with you, depending on the shoot location and time of year. It is best to match clothing selection with shooting location and season, so if you need some help, just reach out to us.

Some other tips for clothing: don't wear anything with a large logo (things get dated quickly!), crazy prints, large stripes, etc. Your face, smile, and expression is the main focus.

Also, make sure the color of your undershirt coordinates well with your outfits and don’t show through your clothing. For girls, this is especially important. If you need a strapless, please bring one to your session. Tucking or moving straps will not always work and you probably don’t want a hot pink bra strap showing in your photos!
Should I wear jewelry?
Absolutely! If jewelry is part of your normal look, it should absolutely be captured in your senior photos.

Avoid "chunky" jewelry as this can take the focus away from your eyes and face. Also, jewelry can quickly become dated, so best to stick with classic styles and a "less is more" approach.
Should I wear make-up?
This is your shoot, so if you normally wear make-up, you should plan on wearing it to your photo shoot. It is best to avoid overly sparkly powders and eye shadows, as these often don't photograph well. Some modern "brighteners" contain lots of mica in their formula and can lead to excessive shine as well.

Matte finish lipstick or natural lips also photograph much better than super glossy lips.

One tip, especially during warmer months, is to bring blotting paper. These will help eliminate shine, especially if you're prone to it.
Should I get a haircut or style for my photos?
For sure, but try to avoid getting your haircut the day before. We suggest at least a week before your shoot, which will give you hair a chance to settle in a bit and look more like you do on the day to day.

Your photo shoot day isn't the day to try a prom-style hairstyle as well - stick to what you would normally do and how you want to be remembered.
Will you help pose me?
Absolutely! However, we like to give prompts more than poses. We find that the more we "pose" a person, the stiffer and less relaxed they look. We have some classic poses in mind and will help, but will try to defer to what feels natural for you.

It may help to check out Pintrest, Tik-Tok, etc and practice some poses ahead of your photo shoot. This will result in much more natural looking poses and expressions.
Can I bring a friend?
Of course! Not only is it a good idea to help you relax, it's always good to have a second set of hands to help you change or help with out of place hairs.
Should I apply a fresh spray tan or go to the salon before my shoot?
Again, the goal is to make your photos representative of your day to day look. Your senior photos are the "best you" and should be how you want to be remembered. So, if you tan or spray-tan, maintain your color but avoid doing it just before your photo shoot. We can only do so much editing and if you sit in the tanning bed too long or put too much toner on, you're going to be orange (and no one wants that!)
Can I wear my glasses?
Absolutely - if you normally wear glasses, feel free to leave them on during your shoot. We may have to do some work arounds to remove glare, but those are quick and easy work arounds.
